Fall 2013 Technical Education Clinics

This series of clinics is designed for industry contractors and their employees. Come and join your fellow industry colleagues at these informative sessions.

All clinics are conducted at: RACCA 1920 East Sligh Ave. Tampa, FL 33610

The classes begin at 6:30 p.m. and last from 1 to 1½ hours.

Registration is easy. Call RACCA at (813) 870-2607 to register your company name and the names of your attendees, in advance, for each class. Firms may pay at the door with a company check or cash. To use a credit card call the office at (813) 870-2607.

Seating limited to first 50 registrants at each clinic.

Registration forms are mailed to all RACCA members approximately 2 weeks in advance of each class or non-members can call our office and and we will be glad to send you a form.  You may, however, reserve seating for any classes prior to receiving or printing a registration form by calling our office at (813) 870-2607.  Registrations (holding a seat) not canceled in advance will be billed.

Advance registration fees may be paid by cash, check or credit card (Visa, Master Card or American Express).

Total System Protection: A thorough look at oil types, why burnouts occur, how to prevent them and the proper way to flush a system once a burnout occurs. Protection of TXVs, driers during installation. Acid testing and acid neutralization, market place sealants, synthetic oils and oil additives.

Clean Coil Program: This is our quick synopsis on the Clean Coil Program and is a comprehensive seminar dedicated to the safe and proper procedures to clean evaporator and condenser coils. The program will help determine which cleaning method should be utilized for a particular job based on the type and condition of the unit.

What is “good” indoor air quality? Bioaerosols, VOC’s, MVOC’s and how they impact HVAC systems. Mold, who is the expert? Remediation methods. Hygiene, filtration and ultraviolet lighting.

A presentation regarding various energy efficiency programs and incentives that are available through Duke Energy. It will also go over the forms that are required for contractors to participate.
